Act I: Deus Et Harvard
Father, I Am Humbled
We climb to the top of the mountain only to yearn for the ground.
I recognize the man that I am. From want for so much; for everything, to nothing. I know that you love me, that god loves me, and that I am whole. I understand it all…
What is the difference between writing and being these machines?
I am the machine, I make the words ##
Why are my thoughts so blank now? I’m outputting to a terminal the way a computer might talk to us. In the future nobody will be able to know if any human is behind the keyboard. That future is here already. I am a human writing these words that a machine could write feeling like a machine while writing on a machine we made. Humans made machines. Who made humans?
We have worked so hard to understand everything, only to understand that it will all end. I am humbled.
